Langtang Trek

It is a five day approach to the heart of the Langtang valley. It is possible to make the trek back to Dhunche in three days. Kyanjin Gompa at 4,300m is the last point of this trek. Here from the moraine, there is a spectacular view of langtang lirung. There are also few trekking peaks around these areas if you are interested to combine more adventure with your trekking.
Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu (Boudha, Pashupatinath and Swambunath).
Day 03: Drive to Dhunche which is five hours from Kathmandu. Dhunche is the starting point of our Langtang trek. Overnight at Dunche.
Day 04: Dhunche to Syabru 2,100m. Hike through pine and rhododendron forests. After a short climb, the trail reaches a ridge crest at 2,300m where the trek finally enters the Langtang valley. A short, steep descent through bamboo forest leads to Syabru.
Day 05: Syabru to Lama Hotel 2,380m. Hike through forests of oak, maple, alder and bamboo. There is a variety of wildlife here and the forest abounds with birds.
Day 06: Lama Hotel to Ghore Tabla 3,100m. The day starts with a gentle climb above the Langtang khola. Tantalising glimpses of Langtang Lirung, 7,246m, appears through the trees. The trail crosses a stream on a log bridge and then climbs through meadows to Ghore Tabla.
Day 07: Ghore Tabla to Langtang village: The trail ascends gradually as the valley becomes wider and wider. The trail then descends into a valley to cross a stream and climb past several water driven mills and prayer wheels to form the large settlement of Langtang at 3,500m.
Day 08: Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa 3,800m. The trail winds through the village and climbs onto a ridge dominated by a large square chorten and a long row of Mani stones. The trail then climbs a moraine where you can finally see Kyanjin Gompa. It is easy to reach Kyanjin Gompa before lunch allowing time to acclimatize and explore the surroundings.
Day 09: Kyanjin Gompa to Langtang village. Spend the morning hiking up the moraine north of Kyanjin Gompa. From the moraine you have spectacular view of Langtang Lirung. After lunch, trek back to Langtang village.
Day 10: Langtang village to Lama Hotel. Return the same way.
Day 11: Lama Hotel to Syabrubeshi. Return the same way.
Day 12: Syabrubeshi to Kathmandu. This is a 4-5 hrs drive to Katmandu.
Day 13: Visit Baktapur.
Day 14: Departure.

Services Excludes
Medical insurance (should cover helicopter evacuation in case of emergency), hard / soft drinks, bottled mineral water, personal trekking gears, meals in Kathmandu and any other extra expenses due to any political disturbances or natural calamities.
