Papchermo
Trek and climb period: 19 days
Region: Rolwaling Region
Dates: March / April / May / October / November
It lies south of the Tesi Lapcha and is 6,273m. The mountain is an attractive and straightforward snow peak with a well defined north by north west ridge rising from the relatively flat, crevassed glacier astride the TesiLapcha. To the west of the ridge the face forms a uniform snow slope broken by crevasses and small seracs rising from the rocky lower buttresses above the Drolambau glacier. It was first climbed in 1955. The approach trek is through Rowaling and is one of the less frequented areas by trekkers. The Rowaling valley has some beautiful Sherpa villages with cultures still intact. It also has some of the best waterfall climbs in winter and the views of some of the Himalayan peaks are just breathtaking.
